What is Equine Assisted Learning?
‘EAL is a unique approach to experiential learning, where clients are offered safe experiences with horses for the purpose of learning social-emotional skills, personal development, and professional development skills (e.g. leadership and team building). EAL is a fast-growing modality across Australia and the globe. National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) clients benefit greatly from EAL services as do children, adolescents and adults.’

Will I be riding a horse/pony?
Here at PonyPals we are focused on in-hand experiences with our horses rather than in-saddle.
When you book with us, please be aware our sessions are not riding lessons
-
What if I have never been near a horse before?
That is totally okay! and how exciting to be starting your equine journey
Our instructor Judith has been handling horses since she was 9 years old so you will always be in safe hands.
All of the horses you will be interacting with have been handled for years and are very quiet and trustworthy. In your sessions with PonyPals it won’t be long before you are best friends with them!
-
What should I wear?
Please always come in close-toed shoes. Boots are best but sneakers are okay too!
Since our sessions are in hand, pants/shorts and a t-shirt will do just fine!
-
What do I need to bring?
We wil provide light refreshments but please feel free to bring along your own. On an extra sunny day a hat, some sunscreen, and yourself is all you need to bring!
-
What ages are catered for?
PonyPals is for everyone! no matter your age, our herd would love to meet you!
